how do you make a power filter safe for fry and delicate sized fish?
I’m just wondering how to make a power filter safe so no fry or other small slow swimming fish won’t be sucked into the filter. Do I just attach a sponge? I can’t find the answer anywhere. Please help.

Here’s something that’s very easy to put together and help slow the flow from a strong filter (I know it says for betta but it can work for any fish that doesn’t like strong current)- http://www.petfish.net/kb/entry/347/
I did it for my betta and it works wonders!
For the intake, you can wrap a piece of nylon or pantyhose around it and it will keep little fish from getting sucked in.
