What is the best RO/DI system for a home Aquarium?
I’m wanting to do a Discus Aquarium, but live in a place with hard water. I would love to find a DI only system that’s affordable, but haven’t found anything. Grateful for any recommendations.
De ionization only is expensive in the long run, and not worth it. If you are thinking of using it to clean up the store bought RO it would be difficult as you would have to plumb in a pump to run the water through it.
De ionization is meant to clean up the hard to remove TDS left over from the RO membrane. It does not do a good job of removing large quantities of TDS It will actually let thru more TDS than the RO only will . It will only do about 25-40 gallons a cartridge of normal Tap Water.
