Sprinkler valve control area flooded even with sprinkler system off. What could be the problem?
I noticed the area by the main sprinkler valves had flooded. I turned the system off and drained the area. The next morning the valve area had refilled with water even though the sprinklers had been off. I’m confused why it would refill with water. Thanks for any help.
A broken supply pipe. The supply line is always pressurized, unless you turn its main valve off. Just dig up the line, trace the leak, and you can replace the section easily with material from your local builders store. There are also patches for very small breaks that can just be wrapped around the pipe, and tightened down.
